I.
Strewn about so arbitrarily,
Stars are the smashed particles
Of fluorecent gods

II.
The irises of her lover's eyes
Shine silver on the edges
Like miniature radiant stars

III.
Of course stars can rain-
After all, we can cry

IV.
There once was a great burst
In which the stars were born and dispersed,
And then those stars gave birth.
We are made of stars.

V. After a cool night's rain,
The stars drink from the puddles

VI.
An ill, homeless prostitute gives birth:
A star is born

VII.
Stars are holographic pranksters,
For they are not really there:
When admiring the night skyscape,
We are gazing upon out ancestors

VIII.
To catch a falling star in your mouth
Is to be luminous for a lifetime.

IX.
Lightning bugs hover in the
Damp air of a summer night
Like stars stuck in the atmosphere.

X.
Even on the darkest of nights,
The stars are still there.

XI.
A string breaks;
A star falls.

XII.
Marionettes dancing on velvet,
The stars laugh,
Dangling.

XIII.
Just as a romantic cannot live without
A lover,
The moon cannot float without
The stars
