Love to Lose

I find my fingers running through your hair

As our lips are fused with a passion that lingers

Behind our closed eyes

Rolling onto my back my foot tries to crawl up your pant leg

You laugh as my cold toes graze against your warm skin

And I can feel you laugh into my mouth

My eyes open but all I can see your eyes

Dilated with zeal to the edges of the iris

Your head falls past my face and into the pillow

You’re going to laugh yourself into suffocation

You turn your head and whisper in my ear

Tickling my senses

Your warm breath breezing through my hair

Your warm breath turned wet as you nibble on my ear

Gently making your way down my neck

Before your lips reunite with my mouth

My arms and legs wrap around you

I don’t want you to break this kiss

Not now; not ever

I nibble at your bottom lip

I know you like it…

You always do

Or maybe I just think so

Cause you never do complain

I think you like my teeth

Or maybe I just think so

Cause you love the marks they leave

Don’t deny it, you admire them in the mirror

They cover your neck and shoulders

Like battle scars

From a battle you love to lose

A battle of raging emotions

Tangled in a sea of wrapped up arms and legs

Rolling around to the point of tumbling on the floor

With fits of laughter

And band-aides disguised as fervent kisses

For the bruises and scrapes from the fall

Or were they from me?

Does it matter anyway?

I mean I won…

Because you love to lose
