Chapter 3

We ended up in a small bar that was hidden away in a basement down an alley that led to a dead-end, it was the kind of place that if you didn’t know it was there you couldn’t find it, it was a perfect place to go to get away for the guy’s we just stole from.

She was sitting in a corner booth as I came back from the bar with two ice cold Beers. I sat down next to her and started to sip from the glass. “So, what’s your name?” she asked as she placed her glass back on the table

“Lucas” I replied, “Lucas Black”

“Well Lucas Black, I’m Sapphire Pendragon” She Said “Pleased to meet you.” She stretched her hand out, with an open palm, I did the same and our hands met in the middle of the table. Her skin felt good against mine, I couldn’t take my eyes off her hands. Her skin was so smooth it drew me crazy. It was only after a minuet that I realised I was still holding her hand. I let go and looked up at her, she was smiling.

We sat in that pub for hours, just talking. Talking about everything, talking about nothing, we were getting on like a house on fire, same taste in music, same taste in fashion, same taste in girls, she was Bi (which is cool). It was 11pm when I first looked at the clock, we decided it was time to go home. She had some things she needed to take care of, and I had some new CDs I wanted to rip on to my computer.

I walked her home, we Talked and joked all the way, It was really cool how much we had in common, I felt something in the pit of my stomach, something I hadn’t felt before, and I thought I new what it was, but I didn’t want to admit it to myself, we had only know each other for a few hours I decided to wait and see what happened next.

We got to her house, 7 New Bury Close, it was a little bungalow, two bedroom, with a sea view. She had told me that she lived alone with her dad ever since her mother died giving birth to a miscarriage when she was 12. Her father was a P.E Teacher at a nearby School, though she didn’t say anything else about her family.

As we got to the gate she told me she could make the rest of the way by herself, and as we stood there facing each other saying our goodbyes, she handed me a folded piece of paper kissed me on the check. She then turned and run down the path and through the front door with out looking back.

I unfolded the piece of paper, it said ‘Mt Me The Pub, 3O’Clock XXX’ I Smiled looked at the house one last time and left.
