It's been a while since I've written anything, so I'm pretty rusty (though, I wasn't particularly good in the first place so I can't put all the blame on time).

-

I don't know you;
I can't speak.

Avoiding your eyes;
I fear what you think.

My stomach's clenching;
I feel so meek.

Humiliation, my dread;
I'm getting to the brink.

Don't try to trick me;
you're such a sneak.

I can see it in your eyes;
you could hate me in a blink.

Can't force myself to smile;
I'm just another freak.

I'll sit in my room;
in the shadows I'll shrink.

I'll just lock myself inside;
cry for the acceptance I seek.
