Saturn
As told from the perspective of Matt...
We lie on a blanket
And look at the stars.
I will go there someday
And laugh over my shoulder
At the world.
I'll take her with me.
We'll go to Saturn.
It's far away,
Her favorite planet.
She likes th pretty rings,
But her face goes beyond.
She likes the shades of color,
But her hair flows more freely
Than Saturn ever could.
I'll make a shuttle and we'll go,
We'll stay in there for years.
Let's look out the window
To watch the blackness go by.
I know it's just she with me,
Out here in space,
But on earth it was she too.
If we ever make it,
We'll walk along those rings
She's always wanted to touch.
I'll hold her hand,
I don't want her to slip.
She's afraid of what's out there
Because there's nothing.
Nothing to ruin what I want to give her,
Because there is so much.
I told her this.
She smiled.
She said she's looked in space,
She's looked through a telescope,
Saturn was there.
She's always wanted to touch it,
Make it real.
I brought her what she could never have.
I've made her so happy.
I've brought her to this planet.
That's what she is.
