Simon and Samantha

Simon and Samantha sit and watch their lives fly by.

Waiting for something other than death,

Not finding the meaning of anything but regret.

Simon sits and watches Samantha through her life away,

Samantha watches as Simon fades away across the sea.

What has happened to our two best friends?

They were promised the world, but fell in with the rest of society instead.

I miss Simon and Samantha,

Simon died in action and Samantha in a bed with all her drugs in hand.

What happened to Simon and Samantha, both seemed so knowledgeable.

But in the end I guess that’s what killed them both.

The deeper understanding of society brought them down.

I miss Simon and Samantha,

But I’ll join them soon.
