Chapter One : A Find in the Woods

" Kailey! Kailey! Wait up!" Markus called to his companion, who was galloping ahead of him.

" No! It's a race! You perfectly well know that!" Kailey tore a glance behind her, her long blonde hair jerking in the breeze.

" It's not! It's a obstacle course! Slow down!" Markus tried to speed up than went back to his regular pace.

" Whatever."

" We need to find this stupid damsel!"

" Then lets find it!" Kailey started to turn deeper into the woods.

" Hey! Hey! Stop!"

" What? Are ya chicken?"

" Look!"

Kailey paid more attention to what was in front of her. " Oh crap!"

She frantically started stopping her horse.

" Just turn!" Markus slowed down his horse.

Kailey made a sharp turn to her left.

Markus looked down at the leaf ridden earth.

" Is that the damsel?" Kailey dismounted and stepped toward the discovery.

" It looks too real- Oh God!"

Kailey took a closer look at what was causing Markus' panic.

A girl, maybe of fourteen, lay on the ground. Kailey bent down and picked up the girl's wrist.

" She's still alive! We gotta get her back to the school!" She picked the mysterious person up and settled her onto her steed, then mounted.

" Come on!" Kailey took off dirt flying behind her, and the shocked Markus followed.
