Forever Yours

There once was a beautiful princess who was locked in a tower for the rest of her life...

Wow that's cliché. Let's try something different, shall we?

There once was a man who loved his wife very much. He wanted her heart to be his forever.

So one night when the moon was full and there was not heard a sound from man nor beast, he crept into her sleeping chambers.

Upon her lips he left a soft, warm kiss. The woman uttered the words, "I'll be yours forever, my love."

The man took from his wife's drawer a mirror and held it up to her face.

"Look. What do you see?"

"I see myself. What do you see?"

"I see the most beautiful woman I have ever gazed upon."

He kissed her again. While her eyes were shut, he silently snapped the small mirror in half. He took one shard in each hand.

With the first shard of glass, he slit the woman's throat and cut open her chest. He pulled her heart out and held it close to his.

With the second shard of glass, he cut open his own chest. Before he perished, he put her heart inside his body.

"Now... Hearts...Together... Forever..."
