Sounds move around me

Something pulsing vaguely

I can hear it

I wish no more

Protected in this embrace

My black world

Brought by my veiled vision

I don’t want it

I look for other sights

Those eyes cannot see

And some minds perceive

Each form tells a story

Of hands caressing before mine

Artist’s care in each edge

In each sharp splinter

Prickling my skin

Each touch and sound

Silent messengers

No one tries to hear

But everyone seems so blind

Running from one side to the other

Not caring to wait

Not trying to touch

Not attempting to learn

More sightless than I

Here standing, eyes closed

How can they fail to see this beauty?

Loved whispers of the wind

Kindly caressing my skin

Soft touches blowing my hair

I know I’m smiling

And though my eyes can’t see it

I know I’m being ignored

Fear of my strange soul

Halting in the middle of a street

Eyes covered, arms open

Warm sun on my unseeing eyes

Hearing the Earth murmur in my ears

A gentle embrace

Protecting and caring

Why deny this freedom?

Laugh if you want to

Cry when you wish

Dance in the rain

Just sing when none hears you

Or just for this world

Muffling these dead sounds

Living is both sides

Death and Life

Joy and Sorrow

Everyone denies one

Always fleeing

So much fear

Failing in that attempt

So they ignore me

That child they see

Embracing both sides

I hear you coming now

My kindred spirit

In this other world

My cherished half

Treasured companion

And I open my eyes

Ignoring those lingering shadows

Taking your shine deep inside

Imprinting it in my memory

When I laugh

Embrace as silent comfort
