Breath of God

The wind blows gently through his tail and mane,

The beauty taking my breath away.

He sparkles in the midnight moon,

A white silhouette against the dark sky.

His voice pierces the night air and drifts far, far away across the water.

He is a creation,

A breath of God.

He canters to my side,

I can’t believe he’s mine,

So long have I awaited this day.

I touch his soft mane,

It felt like soft silk.

I couldn’t look away.

His eyes glittered,

I was sure they were stars,

Plucked from the sky for only him.

“I’m so glad you’re mine,” I whisper in his ear.

“I’ll never let you go; I’ll never let you die.”
