Oregon

Awaking from his silent slumber;
The wingéd beast arose and pondered.
Oregon was his name, being a menace was his game.
He wondered, “How did I become this way?”
Suddenly, the “dark knight” remembered,
Marbias, the powerful wizard who made this “living gargoyle.”
He gave the dark knight his wings, powerful talons, and horns;
Long white hair, clawed, webbed feet, and more power than his own.
This is when all the menacing began,
And soon, Oregon would bring it all to an end.
This is how the wretchéd beast came to be.
O, how he wished to be human again!
But how? Marbias is dead!
He brought himself to his feet and wandered in the woods through the night.
The next morning he saw the most beautiful sight he had ever seen…
The sunrise
He never forgot this beautiful image of hope;
But would forever live alone.
