The Lawyer

There was a lawyer who did come along,
A woman with her fingers mean and long.
Tho she was wise and with her words won cases,
They were impressed with her fantastic paces!
So many times, it was so quickly done:
A lot of time was left for having fun!
Thus, she had charged a great amount in fees
And quickly she defended all their pleas.
Now this was free, except the lawyer’s fee.
So all of the accounting was the key,
To make her rich before becoming heir.
Because of money, she was never bare.
Appearance now, about her I will tell,
So stay, and read, or listen for awhile!
Her clothing was so colorful and trim
As if they even sung a lovely hymn!
And also hawk-like eyes, observant also keen;
And so the eyes, the same, so mean!
About this lawyer, I’ve yet said enough.
Go now and leave to me to rest and stuff.

Fall of 1995

This part of the verse was all my own.
