When you make haste

Your purpose

Is to get wherever you’re going

Quickly

Not

Slowly.

Let’s be honest

If we all did things

Slowly

Nothing ever

Would get done. Really.

Banks’ computers would overload.

Homework and papers

Would get turned in

A month after the due date.

Relationships would fail.

And to have it as a school’s motto –

Well, do they ever want us to graduate?
