Running feet could be heard treading on the ground

As many men in the village were running around

Attempting to get the women and children out of sight

The men didn't want them to get injured in the fight

The archers on the walls all began to shout

Here he comes, Here he comes, Here comes our scout

The scout was running as fast as he can

Which was a lot faster than an average man

The scout reported that he had seen the enemy begin its advance

They were marching toward us, caught in a sadistic trance

Decisions were being made that can't be undone

The battle was going to begin in the midst of the rising sun

It was widely ridiculed that King Phillip was Satan's spawn

In the morning they would witness a horrific red dawn
