Introduction to The White Mage Tales

SUMMARY

In a universe much like ours, is a young woman who weathers the flow of time. Her mother's legacy -- Youth, power, and longevity -- mark her as one of the famed Whitemages. Sakura Zalla has lived for hundreds of years and finds herself caught in a war torn future. As the pilot of a humanoid war machine called a Mechanoid, she must fight for her survival, and for her place in the world.

CHARACTER PROFILES

SERENITY AMARFI -- The Vice Foreign Minister of the Alfea High Council, Countess of the Hyde county, Marquise of the Jakin Due Principality, Daughter of the prestigious Nicol Amarfi, Great niece of Galdran Marlow, Emperor of Alfea. Her disapproval of the actions of the Federation of World Alliance prompts her to turn her back against her own family's beliefs. A strong opponent and top notch fighter, she uses her vast wealth and influence in the Federation to move the Rebellion along. Her disagreements with P5 prevents her from willingly giving him the amount of aid she disperses to the other pilots, so he only recieves the bare minimum. A first generation Gen-hant, the NEW HUMAN RACE. Codename P1, Relena Moore, Pilot of Mechanoid ELVIRA.

BRANDON MARSTEN -- One of numerous war orphans to be found in the Alfea Kingdom. Second generation Gen-hant. Having watched his entire family die by the hands of the Federation soldiers, he seeks nothing more than revenge, especially against the Marquise of Jakin Due, who had given the order for the execution of his family. If he only knew who Relena Moore truly was, he wouldn't be so attracted to her. Codename P2, Bran Tesse, Pilot of Mechanoid ELLADAN.

JOSEPH MAXTON -- War orphan, trained by reowned assassin Kenneth Highland from age five. Fights in memory of his only father figure. Fourth generation Gen-hant. Codename P3, Joey Highland, Pilot of Mechanoid TESSERACT.

LUCIEN FULLER -- A war orphan from the neighboring kingdom of Naipon. His family had been the best chefs in the world, and served their famous cooking to the rich and famous. After it was discovered that his father had attempted to assassinate Arashi Himura, the neice of the Empress of Naipon, and cousin to Serenity Amarfi, the entire family was massacred. His life was spared only because he was at age three. Second Generation Gen-hant. Codename P4, Theodoric Collina, Pilot of Mechanoid BETHOR.

GEORGE BRANSBURY -- A young man born in a merchant family fallen on hard times, he joined the war solely for the sake of his sister, who had been taken away by the Federation of the World Alliance, FWA, in hopes of freeing her from the service of the -- IN HIS OPINION -- foolish and cruel Amarfi family. Sadly, he doesn't get along with Relena Moore, resulting in the minimum of aid from the noble in disguise. Codename P5, Osvaldo Tommasi, Pilot of Mechanoid HAMIED.

SAKURA ZALLA -- The most mysterious of the Pilots, no one knows if her name is merely an alias or her given name. Her true age is unknown, but the age she usually gives is seventeen, although her knowledge exceeds that of the most knowledgable of the world's Loremasters. There is no record of her family, and no records of her. The only link to her are the records of another girl matching her description with her name from two hundred years before the rebellion. Whether she is an Origin or Gen-hant is unknown, as she has never submitted to an examination or fallen ill. Her skills as a pilot, hacker, and warrior are unmatched, but her strength lies in strategy and infiltration. Codename P6, Kamui Magami, Pilot of Mechanoid ARASHI.

NICOL AMARFI -- The Foreign Minister of the Alfea High Council, Count of the Hyde County, Father of Serenity Amarfi, grand nephew of the Emperor of Alfea. 355th generation Origin, the ORIGINAL HUMAN RACE.

GALDRAN MARLOW -- Emperor of Alfea, Chairman of the Alfea High Council. 354th generation Origin.

ARASHI HIMURA -- The neice of the Empress of Naipon, and cousin to Serenity Amarfi. First generation Gen-hant.

KENNETH HIGHLAND -- Assassin. The only father figure of Joseph Maxton. A botched assassination attempt on Nicol Amarfi resulted in his death at the hands of Serenity Amarfi. Twelfth generation Gen-hant.

LUNAMARIA RINALDI -- Immensely loyal to Serenity Amarfi, she made it possible for Serenity Amarfi to become Relena Moore and supplies her with everything necessary for her work as P1 and as Lady Vice Minister Serenity.
