Dear Reader,

Would anything I write down truly convey what I felt inside right now?

No

I don’t think it could.

I believe the action of throwing a bottle with a message out into the sea

in hopes that someone

someday

someday soon

could understand you

could find you

and explain

you are not the only one to feel this way,

is a beautiful idea.

But.

When there is nothing in the bottle…

the person is just littering.

and perhaps,

killing the fish.

If the bottle is shiny

you could distract sailors

and drive them off course.

Or cause a shark to lose its dinner

No.

Perhaps it’s best to forego

this silly idea

and work towards something more palpable.

And yet,

messages in bottles are a pretty dream.
