But never fear...actually fear a little bit because all insperation for all my other stories has gone! But only because i enjoy writing this soooo much.
So, enjoy my final chapter and i will see you in my next story! :)
“What’s the matter with her?” Jacob looked down at Emma with a worried look. “She’s just screaming…”
“Can’t you do something?” Pete helped her to her feet, keeping an eye on Davison.
“I’ll try…” She closed her eyes and concentrated. She soon found herself by Collette’s side. “Collette…”
Collette opened her tear filled eyes and looked down at the illusionist. “Em…I killed them…I wasn’t sure at first but…but now I know…” She whimpered.
“No you didn’t.” Emma placed her hand gently on Collette’s elbow. “James is just creating the image you feared all along.”
“James…is doing this?”
Emma nodded. “You know very well the plane didn’t explode.”
“H-how do we get out…?”
“Your ability.” She smiled.
“But the collar…”
“You don’t have it on in here.” Collette reached up and ran a finger along her neck. Emma was right, the collar wasn’t there. “This is your mind, and even though James has created an illusion in it, you can still control it. Now, release your ability to its full potential.” As Emma faded away Collette closed her eyes.
“Watch.”
Pete and Jacob turned their attention to Collette. Her hair started to rise and flow around her. She slowly started to ascend up into the air, her body was letting off sparks of electricity from the collar and her energy created a low wind that blew dust around.
“What’s….going on?” James stared up in shock. “She shouldn’t be able to do that!” Davison and his men started to back away slowly as the glass started to crack. Pete made a dash to Sally as it broke and large shards flew everywhere.
“Peter…?” Sally whispered. “Are you…?”
“Yeah…I’m ok.” He looked up at her and smiled. He looked to Davison who was slumped against the back wall, with a large piece of glass in his forehead. Pete winced. “Shouldn’t have looked back, not that it would’ve helped…” He started to untie Sally.
“Jacob!?” Sally looked around.
“We’re ok!” He stood up from behind a row of seats and helped Emma up. Suddenly the wind picked up. The group turned the heads and faced a large tornado that had engulfed the room.
“Where’s Collette…?” Pete looked at it in awe.
“Inside…” Emma grasped Jacob’s shirt. “With James.”
“Collette…you don’t want to do this…” His voice shook with fear and desperation. She gave a twisted smirk.
“Oh, now you want to negotiate.” A small chunk of tile slashed her across the cheek. Blood quickly rolled down her face. “How does it feel, knowing you’re going to die?” She grinned as a chunk of tile slashed him across the arm. He hissed in pain and held the wound.
“Collette…”
“Oh, so it’s ‘Collette’ again!” She started to laugh. “What happened to calling me Sanders and trying to kil-…oh…extraction has its limits, doesn’t it?” James frowned. She laughed again. “It has its limits and you used it all up!”
“No, there’s still some left, so I’ll still kill you!” He threw his arms forward and Collette did the same. Their attacks met in the middle. Collette pushed it further towards and James pushed it back.
“You won’t win, Sanders!”
“We’re back to Sanders now are we?” She forced the attack back.
“You don’t know how to use your powers to its full potential! And by the time you do you’ll be a bloody smear along the walls!” He forced it back to her.
“There’s one little problem with your plan…” She grinned again. “You’re running low on ammo; I’m not even trying to push this anymore!” She held the attack in place with one hand. “See you in hell, you cheesier cat.” She threw her free hand forward and a large piece of tile slashed James across the neck, the joint attack threw him out of the dust filled tornado and crushed him against the wall. The tornado died away and Collette was suspended in midair for a moment. The walls were cracked, the tiles were broken and scattered around and the doors had blown off.
“Collette!” Jacob ran into the room, closely followed by Pete with Emma on his back and Sally shortly after. Collette started to feel dizzy. She suddenly dropped out of the air and blacked out just as Jacob caught her.
“Collette!” A familiar American squeal rang through the room, quickly followed by a tight embrace. Collette blinked sleepily.
“I’m still in pain, Sal.” She mumbled into her apron.
“I’m sorry dear…” She slowly let go. “But it was quiet without you.”
“How long was I out?”
“Oh…” She put her finger to her cheek. “A week, Emma said your mind needed to reboot or rest or something.”
“Uh huh…” Collette looked around. “Why is there stuff packed away?”
“We need a bigger house!” She smiled.
“What do you mean ‘a bigger house’?” Suddenly the door flew open. Emma stopped in her tracks and looked at Collette.
“Collette!” She threw herself at the teen.
“Em?” She blinked slightly confused.
“Turns out Emma’s parents moved to another country.” Pete kissed Collette on the head and hugged her gently. “So we’re letting her stay with us.”
“Isn’t that great?” Jacob wrapped his arm around her. “And we’re going to college!”
“College…Boarding School College?” Collette looked at them.
“Yeah.” Pete nodded. “Why?”
“Before James died…I read his mind….” She paused for a moment. “Somebody there has an ability…”
