I wanted to understand God

(not that god which, created by human mind

is as myself, in greatness surpased only by power)

Who bent down to the dust

cupped my world in His hand

of which I have but a part-- the microsecond of eternity--

knew the whole of me

yet gave me life;

breathed gently into my being

and gave His life for me.
