You and I

You

call yourself

A fool with a dream; and

You

tell me

Of all your grand plans.

You

will rule the world

You

will write the book

that will touch our souls

You

will be loved by all

You

will enlighten us all

And I have so much faith in

You

And I have never doubted

that you are brilliant

And I have never doubted

that all your dreams will be reality.

And so I think

I

Am the fool with the dream

Because all

I

want, and all that

I

Can’t have, is

You.
