Immaculate Deception

Hail Mary, mother of a false god

Hail saints, fools of a great deception

Hail Christ, the messiah of fortunate sinners

We ask where the sting of death

And the victory of the grave is

In our blind hymns

But the only reason we don’t feel

Victorious stings

Is because we’re blinded

By charismatic churches
And childhood raisings.

God! What kind of god

Would bless his child for

The duration of his youth and innocence

Then rip those blessings away

To mock us?

The lost sheep without a shepherd

The little children under a con’s rule…
We’re not lambs anymore,

And out developing eyesight shows

That you are a liar

Your dogma is a fallacy

And we. don’t. like. being. deceived.

So, god, what will you do

Now that your sons and daughters are prodigal prodigies?

And we’re not children anymore.

So. Fuck. Off.

And tell your sightless church

To do the same -

Abandon their celibate vows

And go fuck themselves

For being too foolish

To realized they’re preaching a lie

And damning the rest of us

With you dishonesties and indiscretions.

God fuck the church, screw the blessings.
