Surrounded by people

Yet alone, so alone.

Like an eggshell; thin, fragile,

That will break with a gentle caress.

A hollow shell, deprived of love,

I feel pain, unbearable pain.

Without love one cannot survive

There is no bond truer than ours

And now that too is gone.

You have been released

And now roam freely.

But I am tied down

With heavy iron chains.

You are the one who laid my egg

And hatched me.

Now you are gone

…Forever…

And once more I am alone,

Without a mother.
