It’s not very often

That I get to say,

I cannot soften,

Nor forgive yesterday.

-

How can you live with yourself?

-

To cause so much pain

For such a simple desire.

Damned to do it again,

Jumping into hell’s fire.

-

You disgrace the human race.

-

But who am I to judge?

Sitting in my plain wool shirt,

Dragging your name through the sludge?

Who am I to condemn your hurts?

-

I’ll tell you who I am.

-

I am every tear

That descends that girl’s face.

I am every oath

That you mutter beneath your breath.

I am completely unrelated to all of this,

But I have been dragged in just the same…

-

All by you.

-

So here we stand,

Feeling disgust, pity, and hate.

-

From your laziness to get a fucking date…

-

We’re

-

Waiting to strike,

And I hope you can’t sleep at night.
