Perfect
Jealously; How far can it go before it gets out of hand?
Valerie stared at the gun pointed at her. Taking a glance at Jessica , the girl holding the gun, she said pleadingly, “Please, don’t!”
They were in a classroom at school. Jessica held the whole class hostage.
"Jessica, think about what your doing..." the teacher, Ms. Norris, said, urgently from a corner Jessica told the whole class to stand by. Someone needed to stop her.
"NO!" she yelled, angrily. She turned back to Valerie. "You're perfect. You've got everything. You're perfect." She repeated in a whisper. "Too perfect." She gripped the gun harder.
"No," Valerie said, tears streaking down her face. "No, I'm not perfect."
"Yes, you are! Do you know how many girls envy you? How they wish they were in your place? You don't deserve it! Someone needs to end this. I have absolutely no problem being the one." Jessica fired the gun at Valerie. It hit her in chest with force. She fell to the ground in an instant.
Once she fired, Jessica dropped the gun on the floor, as if it were poison; she had done what she wanted with it, no need to have it for more then that.
Jessica walked up to the body and watched as the thick blood started to stain Valerie's clothes. Her face dejected as she watched Valerie's lying body. "No," she murmured. "No!" she yelled.
All of it was a waste. She had stolen a gun, she killed someone and it didn't even end how it was suppose to.
She vaguely heard the teacher and some of the students crying in their corner. This was definitely not how it was suppose to be.
All of it was useless, she thought sadly, though not with regret. She truly hated Valerie-the-perfect. Her fate was deserved.
Suddenly the door slammed open, tearing Jessica's eyes from Valerie's body. Police swarmed the room.
"Freeze!" one of the police yelled at Jessica, seeing the gun laying in between Jessica and her victim on the floor. The police grabbed her arm and cuffed it. Another inspected Valerie's body.
"She's dead," he said after he felt her pulse.
The police that cuffed Jessica frowned sadly. He took a breath. "Alright, escort the rest of the class out. They've seen enough. I'll take care of the girl."

They took Jessica to the police station for questioning.
"Why did you do it? Why did you shoot her?" A policeman asked.
Jessica thought a moment. Why not tell the truth? She was going to jail anyways. So, Jessica told him, "She was beautiful, smart, and talented. Perfect. She didn't deserve it." She closed her eyes. The images of Valerie's body clear in her mind, even if she hadn't seen her in the past hour.
"It doesn't matter anyway," she said as she opened her eyes and smiled bitterly. "She was perfect, even in her death."
