Two lovers lay in a field of roses

Vainly clinging to each other

White roses stained red with love

As she whispers ‘nevermore’

And they all should have noticed

That the 2 were slipping away

Before the poison takes it’s toll

He softly whispers ‘nevermore’

By fate they rouse

And by pain they fell

When it became too much to bear

They harshly whispered ‘nevermore’

Tear swept the sin away

Now they’re together evermore

When they were found the next day

By the grave their parents cried ‘nevermore’
