Party with Poise

We were having such a lovely time until

You decided you hadn’t had your fill

Now you can’t even feel your own body

But 5 minutes ago you were the life of the party

Come on baby girl and spike the punch

You’ll be chopped up and served for tomorrow’s lunch

Cafeteria ladies with their hair net wigs

Ravenously feasting upon your corpse like cannibalistic pigs

Professing secret loves and death wishes in bathroom stalls

None of it means shit when we trample you in the halls

Stare at your reflection in the mirror

Maybe you will see things a little clearer

When you find the blade hidden in your lipstick

Go ahead girl; get down on your knees. Be sick.

Run from the lavatory and call out please help

You grip at an arm and give a sultry smile

The blood gapes out your mouth all the while

Pushed to the floor and trampled by the animals

I’d like to see your money buy you out of this one

It looks like you’ve had a bit too much to drink

And they throw your body to the hounds

Awake on the floor naked and cold

You have been forsaken and violated

Gather up your designer clothes and expensive accessory

For you, there is no sympathy

You walked around with your head up way too high

And now you are crying in the corner, wanting to die.
