On Her shelf there are jars of oceans,
of hurricanes,
vessels of yesterday, tomes
of tomorrows.
Annotated notebooks of unfinished plans, molds
of animals, and fish, slides
of bacteria, and sketches of plants, yet
there are no encyclopedias, no
'How to' guides, or manuals.
It's a lonely job
being the pioneer of everything.
What was made was made.
Now, nothing changes.
Some days She studies Her shelves,
Rearranging its content
always wondering
what's next?
What for?
