Diminished frame so paper thin, paper wide; woe betide
The childish face charmed with hate and with haste, and pale as paste,
The putrid mask obscures a slash.

Thus I enthrust on tarried thoughts; what is this child, so withered; so wild?
A ragged rose? Or lily white; the slender slight of silent life and light
Who counts her years in cuts and tears?
