Just a poem, seeing as I broke up with my long time boyfriend a little over a month ago. Looong story. Full of anguish and despair for me. And cheating and lying from HIM.

You promised to never let me go,
With words dripping in venemous sugar.
I naively believed your lies disguised as truth,
And in the end you let go....and pushed.

You pushed me into an abyss
Full of darkness and broken glass.
Glass of promises, long shattered.
And inside, my heart died and broke.

I was sliced, from inside out and outside in,
By broken promises and a shattered heart.
Blood and tears stain my body, and my soul.
As I wait forlornly for my Guardian; my hero.

He will pick me up, clean me up,
Brush the tears and jagged shards away.
He will save me from that darkened abyss,
With a strong embrace, and unsugared words.
