As I rode on horseback looking into the past
I jumped, tumbled and stumbled to a halt off of a high mount
I looked back at my love and began to run back. . .

I had to go after the ones who took care of me
The ones who found me on that lake shore there
The ones whom I held dear

Scarlet, ruby, gold and yellow were the colours that caught my eyes
As the curtain of high drifting clouds of grey filled the midnight sky
Homes were stages for the ballet of dancing flames

The audience consisted of silver, crimson and fleshy colours
The ones whom I held dear and went after for. . .
Were the audience seated front row and center

Silver blades stabbing, dicing, and mangling
The audience's bodies, as their blood kept on flowing
Out to their actors and actresses wielding crimson tainted arms

I stood their in horror as one of the actors took a tree branch and
Allowed the dancers of flames to climb on and walk off on to a new stage
The audience

Clip-clop, clip-clop, clip-clop--
Sounded the hooves from my love's horse as
He came nearer to the performance of nightmares

One of the performers caught sight of him and called for an archer
My love never saw the arrow coming toward him, until. . . .
It hit him in the heart. . .

Crimson blood streamed from his lips and chest
It flowed like small stream that morphed into a river
That lead to an ocean . . . an ocean of blood at the very end of his life

He fell off of his noble stead and into his pool of blood
I stood there, frozen in my tracks as I watched it all
The gruesome performance played in my head again and again. . .

A stench of rot filled the air and night sky
As the actors started to walk by. . .
They ignored me the one who stood there alone.

The one who was brought in this world alone. . .
And there it shall remain the same. . .
The one that will remain alone until her life ends
On that lake shore were she was found and shall die once more
