I walk into the class, very unaware that my life is about to change. I see him sitting in the corner, casually with his arms leaning on his knees. He looks uninterested in what the people around him are talking about, but he still tries to put on an act as if he is really paying attention.
His dark hair is spiked; his brown eyes find mine in the next moment. I stand there in complete shock of how gorgeous he really is. He has a casual style with relaxed jeans and a button down blue t-shirt.
"Hi," I whisper as I sit next to him.
He casually waves back and I immediately turn my attention to something else. Out of my bag, I grab a notebook and a pencil.
The teacher, as usual begins her lesson with, "Good morning class." Several of the students answer back, but then most of them just ignore her and go about their own business.
I take one quick glance to the cutie on my right side. The moment our eyes meet, I quickly turn my head back. My fingers run through my hair nervously.
I can feel his eyes penetrating the back of my neck. Picking up my pencil, I begin to scribble things down on the sheet of paper in front of me. I am not really writing anything important, but I will do anything just to keep my mind occupied for the moment.
"Hey," he says tapping my shoulder.
"Yes," I answer sweetly.
"Do you want to ditch this class and go somewhere?"
"Where," I ask curiously with a smile.
"Well," he says with a huge smile. "There is a little basement area down stairs. My friends and I usually hang out there when we want to ditch."
"Sounds cool, but can I at least know your name first?"
"Mario," he says with a wink as he stands up. "Come on let's get out of here, before I go crazy."
I take his outstretch hand and without thinking I grab my bags and we are out of the room. I know it is not normal too just walk out of a college class, but hey what the heck. He was too hot to say no.
We take several flights of stairs and finally we reach our destination. The basement, as he called it, is a small room on the very bottom floor of the college. It was possibly at one time a janitor's break room. I can only figure that out by the horrible smells around me.
"Well," Mario says flipping on a light switch. "What do you think?"
"Cute," I reply back, looking around the room curiously. The room is small of course, only lit up with a small overhead light, and dust is covering everything imaginable. I look to my left and there is couch and a small black and white TV.
"How many people know this is here," I ask looking back at him.
"Just a few, we try to keep it a secret, but when we leave we will pass it down to the next generation of rebels. We call it the Rebel's Den."
"Cool," I set my bags down and then making my way over to the couch. I plop down onto the soft cushions.
"So," he says sitting down on the couch. He is too close, and I know this is not the best idea being down here alone. I am weak when it comes to hot guys and being alone. "What's your name?"
"Kim," I mumble. Oh, he is excessively close, and he keeps getting closer. I am going to lose my mind if he gets any closer.
"I have been watching you," he says, his eyes seem to roam over my entire body and at this, I am very nervous.
"What do you mean," I ask, nervously running my hands through my blonde hair.
"Oh, I don't know," he says leaning back against the cushions on the couch with his arms outstretched. "I just thought you were how do you say it…"
He fell silent for several moments and my nervousness only grew as the silence continued. "I thought you were interesting," he finally said breaking the silence.
"What do you mean," I asked cautiously.
"Oh, I just watched how you interact with people. How you mostly keep to yourself. How you bite your nails."
I immediately pulled my fingers away from my mouth and I could see out of the corner of my eye a smile creeping up on his adorable face.
This close to him I could see a slight beard beginning to grow. It was cute, yet sexy and masculine all at the same time.
The next question out of his mouth was something I was not expecting. "Did you notice me in anyway?"
"A little," I admitted.
"What did you notice," he asks.
I was hesitant to answer truthfully, but still proceeded onward. "Well I see all the girls flocking to you. I see you like the popularity, but do not let it go to your head, most of the time."
"Well number one," he adds. "Those girls in that class are idiots and I don't really like any of them. Number two, yes I do like the popularity, but who doesn't?"
"Me," I mumbled turning towards him with my back resting against the arm of the couch, my head ducked down.
"Why," he asks.
It was another question I was not expecting, but still I managed to find an answer. "I don't know," I whispered looking up into his eyes for a moment, before bringing my head back down again. "I guess like you said I just keep to myself. It has always been that way and I don't usually break out of the routine."
There are several moments of silence, and I let my eyes roam across the room again. "So," he finally says breaking the silence. "Kim, how about you and I get to know each other better? Would you agree to that?"
"Sure," I whisper looking back at him once more.
I don't know what this is, or where it came from, but just review anyway. Yes, I know I haven't update my other stories. I am just stuck on what should happen next. As soon as I come up with a good idea I will try and finish them, but for now I have major writers block on those stories. I hope you enjoy this new story, depending upon the number of reviews I get, will determine whether or not I continue this.
