A Thank You Thanksgiving

Turkey on the table, pie in the oven

Leaves falling, wind blowing, this is

Thanksgiving.

Football on TV, the enemy are defeated.

Family gathered round the table, a giant

turkey floating in the sky on the streets of NYC.

Will this bird actually fly among the clouds?

Christmas coming way too fast,

the Rockettes are all excited,

their high kicks higher than before.

Thanksgiving is more than just

the epitome of fall. It’s

gratitude and grace for days that have

Already past and are yet to come.

It’s thanks for the family we have

Been given, for the gifts

We have received in praying hands.

It’s a feeling of unity in a humble

house, a connection between

heart and home. It’s a

Thank you to God for all He has done

and will do.
