((AN: Loki, Danek, Sevyic (Loki's Dad) and Taini don't belong to me. InSilverShadows owns the first three and LiliaLavender the last.))

My name is Loki. I am named for the god of mischief, which is odd, as my parents did not what I was, or what I was to become. I am the youngest of four children. I am a fire and ice elemental. I am the Stormbreaker, the universal rebel or evil, the one destined to kill the Astrum, my opposite.

The Astrum… always the opposite gender of the Stormbreaker, always opposite in nearly every way… but not this time. Oh, I’ve wished for ages that the Astrum had been someone I’d never seen in my life, perhaps a far off wind elemental or something. But no… it had to be her… had to be Asandra… my eldest sister.

Asandra and I were as close as siblings could be. She was my protectress until the end, even, if not especially, when she learned what I was. She’d known since she was five what she was. I did not know until I was thirteen and she was twenty. And the only way we found out then was the Asiumest clan, a clan of mixed elements that almost worships the Astrum, kidnapped our parents as well as our aunt and uncle for the crime of having me.

Asandra protected me, frightened child I was through the entire ordeal, insisting everything would be alright. She always said that. “It’ll be alright, Lo…” she always whispered comfortingly to me.

Oh Andra, if you had only known what I was to do.

Years after that fated incident, we were fighting, side by side, when my attack missed. Missed Danek, the one who had been trying to kill me for years, and fell on my older sister. She collapsed to the ground, the wound having been fatal, and I rushed over to her.

The first two times I called out her name she would not answer. On the third, her amber eyes fluttered vaguely open. She smiled faintly as she saw me, and whispered, “It’s alright, Lo. I’m here…” With those last words, her head fell back, and she died.

Now, here I stand, gazing over the edge over what is soon to be my cause of death. Mala… Pada… I’m sorry for what I’ve put you through. The loss of your eldest to the hand of your youngest. Kilia… my sister, take care of Mala please and may you never shed a tear again. Karka… take care of your twin and Taini, our cousin and your love, and forgive my tauntings…

Asandra…

I hope you like heaven.

I won’t see you, because for my deeds, I am surely going to hell.

Good-bye…
