Just a poem I wrote one day....the idea just kind of popped into my head, and wouldn't leave me alone until it was written down. So here it is! I hope you enjoy it.

Once walking in the dark.

My footsteps echoed forsaken dreams.

That are now led away

on the wings of a prayer.

A light ahead.

Piercing the dark.

My hopeless thoughts fly

on the wings of a prayer

----

Wrapped in an embrace.

So foreign, yet warm.

The cold flees before me

on the wings of a prayer.

----

My unheeded nightmares

are borne away,

out of my memory.

On the wings of a prayer

----

I raise my voice,

hid within for so long

And sing my salvation

on the wings of a prayer.
