Death's Lullaby

Come away, little one, there's no need to fear me

You're snug in your bed but I know you can hear me

We're deep in a dream full of candies and ponies

Come, take my hand, and you'll see that you know me

Don't be afraid, child, that this is the end

For if you would like you can come back again.

Older than most, though you're not yet eighteen

More heart-wrenching stories rare have I seen

So much potential that hasn't yet bloomed

Don't worry, my son, you may start from the womb

So come, go with me, you can watch from above

Or start life anew in a world full of love.

Grandmother, dear, so old and so worn

For countless years you've been a rock in a storm

You've seen days of glory, of famine and war

It's time now to sleep, to rest evermore

But run with me, dance! You're body's repaired

And watch and be proud of those for whom you cared.

O! come now, ye sinners, ye saints, and ye babes

Death takes you all, treats you one and the same

Nobody knows what the best choice will be

O! Let's go a-walking, come walking with me

O! Let's go a-walking, come walking with me

O! Let's go a-walking, come walking with me.
