You left me here to rot;
No one thought to seek a corpse.
You left me though I breathed.
Together we once fought,
But everything warps
The reality to which we cleave.
Helplessly, I only can seethe
While you give my fall no thought.
You ignored my thirst, my want, my need,
And nothing can describe
The fury as I watched you leave.
Lying in crimson pools as I bleed,
I can imagine that you gibe.
You will neither despair nor grieve,
And when I return from the brink,
It will not be you who grabbed my hand
And pulled me to my feet.
Dumbly, you will stare and stand
And marvel as you think,
“Someone has raised the dead
From out of their black land.”
Visions of miracles will pass through your head,
But still you will not understand.
