She growled to herself as she limped down the hallway. Blood slipping down her right leg from a large gash protruding from her hip. Her own creations, they were growing, and they were learning. Fast. She smiled, leaning against the wall to help hold herself up. Everyone was dead. The lab was empty. Her creations had completed their final objective that she had them programmed to do. She pushed herself up again and continued on. This was all she ever wanted. Complete destruction? World Domination? No, all she ever wanted was to prove success in something she was good at. All she ever wanted, was to create something that would destroy anyone who got in her way or, ever thought she couldn't do anything she set her mind to. Now, she was staring at their cold, dead eyes that bore start into hers‘. Of course, if any of them had any parts left to them. She laughed again and pushed a door, to her left, opened. She didn't care whatever happened to herself, but as long as her creations made it, she would be fine.
'Perfect by nature, icons of self indulgence. Just what we all need more lies about a world that-' the music continued on, overpowering the sound of the Electric Floor Cleaner's engine. She pushed her headphones down to her neck and shut the engine off. She looked behind her. Well, they finally got all the scuff markers off, and the scratches were less noticeable. She sighed, and pulled the plug out of the nearby socket and coiled the cord back up. She locked the Floor Cleaner back up in the Janitor's closet. And walked down the long hallway. Why the hell did she even bother to work at a school, even as a janitor. She didn't even like kids that much. That was why she took the night job, instead of the evening job. She grabbed her coat and pack off a nearby table. Well, her job was done here Finally, she could head home, and get out the fuckin' uniform. Honestly, brown was not her best color. The double doors ahead of her slammed shut, breaking her out of her daydream. She looked up and noticed someone sliding against the wall. At first she thought it was a stranger or some kind of student playing a joke. But, as she got closer, she noticed several liquid spots on the ground. It pissed her off at first, since she spent the last four hours cleaning the place up. But, then she noticed that it was dark, crimson liquid. The second thing she noticed was, it wasn't a student, it was teacher. Mrs. Faith Scales. She was holding her side tightly,
"Faith?" she asked, when she could closer,
"Kit? Is that you?" said Faith, she stood up slightly, still holding her side,
"God, what happened?" Kit asked, going by her side
"Listen to me," said Faith, grabbing her hard by the shoulders, "There's something out there. Something evil. Don't go out. They're going to get you. Please, just watch out, and be careful.", she coughed up blood, before collapsing against her chest,
"Faith? Faith? What are you talking about? What's out there?" Kit asked, as she set her to the ground, and shook her slightly, "Faith?" It was already to late. She was dead. She gasped and noticed the large gash in her side. It look like a large bite mark and torn flesh. She laid her body onto the floor, and back away. Slightly confused about what to do. She looked around, then looked out the back window. Nothing appeared to be there. She walked towards the doorway, before remembering Faith's warning. She backed-up and went back down the other way. She didn't seem to shock to see a dead body, even one of her friend. Maybe, she could find some other way out. Or, maybe, she should keep to Faith's warning. She thought it over for awhile, before going with the first one. She loved Faith, but hey, she hated kids and she didn't want to have to hear them screaming as they ran in. Maybe if she left now, she could catch-up with Marilyn, the police officer that hangs around the school. She picked up her pace a bit.
