You Don't Trust me
Life is cold when you are left in the dark
When all you know are dark shadows
No one trusts you, not anymore
Not after you etched your own pain
Permanently into yourself, into your skin
Suddenly you are a mental case
A friend not worth trusting again
No one will ever really understand your pain
Everyone takes you and your experiences
For granted
All of a sudden you are not worth shit
As you slice deeper into yourself
Carving up your flesh with your only friend
You will never forget their words, their betrayal
One slice too deep, a vein has been severed
You watch as your own blood soaks your clothing
Looking towards the ceiling you say your final prayers
Everything blurs as you say your final words
If only you had trusted me, if only you had believed in me
You rest your head on the cold, hard floor
All of this because you were left in shadows
All of this because they didn't trust you
They ruined your life
They don't see you take your last breaths
They don't see your only friend fall from your limp hand
They don't see you lying in your blood on the floor
They don't know the one thing you will die with
The one thing you will always remember
You don't trust me
