Author’s note: This is an acrostic. Look at the first letter of every line and see what they all spell.

Between highs and lows

Interesting life, I suppose

Positive emotion off the charts

Observe my expressions, their fits and starts

Like a drug addict between having the fix or

Actually giving it up, handing it over

"Rah, rah, rah," the crowds in your head roar.

Death seems preferable to depression

Intellect recedes when you're drunk on obsession

See me laugh and see me cry

Oh no, here comes another high

Revel in mania for a time

Describe it, define it in feeble rhyme

Even the angels fall, you know

Run from your mind and you've nowhere to go.
