Night,

A storm is brewing,

The wind is playing in the trees,

Whispering through my hair,

My gown whipping around me,

As I stand in front of my window,

Watching,

As under the moonlight,

Her husband,

Separated from his lover,

Not quite able to bring herself to,

To confront him,

About this betrayal,

Of trust,

Waiting,

Gathering her courage,

Until then watching,

Through the night,

Finally,

Confronting him,

The storm has finally broken,

As the thunder roars,

And the lightening strikes,

Illuminating the scene,

Going on within,

For a brief instant,

A man and a woman,

Standing arguing,

The man striking out,

The woman crying out,

Bending down,

Helping her up,

Talking calmly now,

Slowly,

Making there way to one another,

As they talked,

Winding there arms ‘round one another,

Clothes falling to the floor,

Hands roaming,

Never staying in one place,

For very long,

Taking things slowly,

At first,

Then,

Faster and faster,

Going from gentle to violent,

In a just a moment,

Making love,

Once done,

She says, “Never again.”

He looks at her,

Then agrees, “Never again… Never again will I see him. This I promise you, my love.”

Thus this tale ends,

As the storm rages on through the night,

Breaking as the dawn arrives.
