Don't beat heart

Unless you’re ready to break for me

For all that I have worked for and never achieved

For all the times I've cried myself to sleep

Almost tearing out my hair

Because this person or that person

Didn't care about me

Don't beat heart

You've broken and repaired

The wounds are still covered

The scars flow onto eternality

There is no way you can be ready for more

But will you try to for me?

Don't beat heart

Unless you’re willing to go on

We're still in this fight together

I'll lay you on the line

And try my best to defend our cause

If we win or lose you'll be the truest friend I'll ever have

Because no matter how hot the heat...

You still manage a steady beat
