Author: ChibiPlushie Ever wondered how much a photo could tell you? Well, have a read and see just how much a photo could mean. It's not just what's present, but what's absent, that makes the story come so alive. Longest poem yet, so R2D2 people!

Here's The Place Where I Come In
The paper slowly passes through
The bright light zooms to and fro
An image forms so clear and vivid
Digitally enhanced and nicely finished
The bird park
Lush greenery enframes the scene
A lake mirrors the azure blue sky
The ladies in pink strut on in
And pirouette for all to see
So gracefully they balance so
And whilst their neighbours whistle in awe
Some arch their slender necks and slumber
Ever so discretely
Preening their pretty pink puffy plooms
A man's shadow, in it looms
It's feeding time and now I understand
"You are what you eat"
The constant buzzing of the crowd
The shuffling of feet, flutter of wings
The plentiful sounds
Play the music for their dance
The atmosphere
How warm and humid is the day
Reluctance soon overwhelms me and I
Reluctantly choose to move my feet
And shuffle along with the rest of the crowd
Even the splashes of water heard
From the blue-green lake could have served
As refreshments, oh so cooling
And suppress the unbearable heat
Water flowers caught in a moment
Icy, glassy, so void of life
Yet refreshing and ever thirst-quenching
Are the splashes in the lake
People gather round
A mother and her child stand here
And next to her…What is that blur?
I'm blinded by the sun.
Oh yes.
Here's the place where I come in
The place where I come in
I step into the picture and
Relive the history.
I have forgotten.
