A/n: Wrote this earlier this year when I was in a mood. One of my published poems. Enjoy
CUT
She saw the sunlight
And then it rained blood
She saw the smiles
Then was locked in her shadows
She maid a new friend
Who knew her pain
She trusted her friend
But her friend brought her pain
She kept coming back
Just to talk and play
She played a lot with her friend
Even though they hurt her
She loved her friend a lot
One night it got too rough
She went running to that friend
Their playing got to rough
She was hurt more than ever
Her friend was painted red
She cried but smiled
The pain was good
She left her friend behind
Sitting on the cold floor
She smiled one last smile
And then laid herself down
She watched her friend
Before the darkness closed in
She never told anybody
About her special friend
She knew she’d be taken away
Because of their playing
She finally played too much
And paid the ending price
She left her bloody, shining knife
A lonely, cold old friend
