A/n: The site butchered my baby! -sobs- My favorite poem and this stupid site butchered the spacing! Anyway, my other published poem. Pretend that every four lines is equal to one stanza. That's how it was originally written a year ago and that's how it shall be. Enjoy
Fireworks
Sparkling, whirling, dancing bright
Bright as stars, beautiful as flowers
Colors, sounds, sparkles galore
Eyes light up at the fantastic display
Huge and booming, filling the sky
Small and popping, causing such awe
Whistling shrilly, exploding silently
Lighting the sky with magnificence
Some whirl and pop
Others fly high and explode
Loud or quiet, big or small
They bring such awe to us
Sharing the sky with the stars
Falling gently from their high
Sparkling rain from a cloudless night
To disappear among the black velvet
They slowly die, colors fade
The wondrous event is ending
But do not worry, for there shall be more
You just have to wait for the day
