Too Little, Too Much

Scratching the walls to try and hold on
My head is spinning
My mouth is dry,
Maybe I took too many,
Too little to leave
Too much for the moment
The scratches get weaker and weaker
My heart rate went from speeding
To barely there
I know I'm fading away
But it wasn't enough of the pain-breakers
To put the light out
My body feels cold and lifeless
I'm not able to move
Only until I feel your touch
Then I become unfrozen
The pain leaves my body
The love starts to flow in again
