Swan Dive

Silently I stare into the decadent abyss of my soul

Only to find ethereal hope diluted with toxic despair

A malignant being has consumed my mind

Twisting my window of reality into a labyrinth of mirror deception

All sanctity is cast aside as I make my swan dive into a cold and lonely liquid grave

Chilling wind grazes my cheeks as my blighted soul descends into black singularity

Will I finally be free from the grey austerity of loneliness?

As I gracefully plunge into opaque darkness

Antipathy creeps into my mouth, tasting of disgust and infamy

As I plummet, my diminishing soul silently slips into nothingness

For my malevolent overlord has triumphed
