Slowly the tears fell
Flowing rivers of despair
Every river for a tragedy in life.

The first was for the girl's birth
For the moment she was brought into the world
Was the very moment she began dying

The second was for her greed
The little voice inside her mind
Craving for everything she did not have

Another fell for her puerile heart
For her crude remarks of her closest peers
For the loneliness the comments made

The fourth was for her cold heart
The one that turned away from ones of kindness
Yet yearning for a warm fire

Following the fourth, the fifth was for lust
Momentary happiness, simply for pleasure
Never feeling the caress of true love

Sixth was the river for her hatred
Cruelty spewing from her mouth
Word after word causing fear in one's heart

The seventh and final was for her regrets
Leaving a mark on her final note
As she stepped onto the balcony.

As she felt the wind rush past her ears
A small smile was on her delicate lips
As the seven rivers cried crimson tears on the pavement
