When Angels Cry Blood

Look at the picture I drew
Carved into my flesh of me and you
The blood rivulets spell your name
I did this for you
What was harmless to you
Pricked a soft spot in my heart
I've turned on myself, ripped my own self apart
The damage, it still tears
Upon my flesh, scars unbarred
Tainting the pale of the surface

For every drop is my tear
A victim to the velvet dark I fear
I cry blood

This torment begs me to die
Am I that insignificant?
I'm torn from your lie
When I looked in the mirror, I saw beauty
For in my heart, I felt peace
Like a thief in the night, it was stolen from me
I was an angel to lift you when you would fall
Embrace you with my wings
But you chose another
and my wings plucked of feathers...
I could no longer carry you
I am the silent angel
Embraced by the night of day
The demons of this cruelty led me astray
I drew a picture of the memories I miss
With razor kisses, the release of bliss

For every drop is my tear
A victim to the velvet dark I fear
I cry blood

The kiss of tragedy
Destroys me to ruin
For the tears of blood I cry
This torment begs me to die
I cry blood
The walk of death I take
I drew a picture of the tragedy I made
