Turkey Limericks
Long ago in a land far away,
Lived a turkey whose name was Jay.
He was taken and sold,
To some farmers for gold,
And was eaten on Thanksgiving Day.
The turkey sits on my plate,
In it's butter and honey baste.
I eat it all up.
What a wonderful sup.
Too bad I wasn't awake.
One time a turkey played soccer.
Everyone else would mock her.
But she showed them,
She was no puny hen.
The result was quite a shocker.
Oh how I love thanksgiving diner.
My Mom's recipes are a winner.
I could eat them all,
Spring, winter, or fall.
But I wouldn't get any thinner.
