One For Thou Perfect Want
Desire
a man, soil'd 'pon his hands,
An eye as wide as summ'ry sky,
Run
in the grass and ignore time pass'd,
Dark'ning bare feet, creasing
skirt's pleat.
Whisp'ed words s'round as a murmur,
Melt
into our arms at cool, shady bower,
My soul does he know, mine
words unbespoke,
And only troth betwixt us both.
Heaven's
brow a-furrow above us below,
Warm rain now soaking we
twain,
Hands and mine, all fingers entwin'd,
Defiant laughter,
follow us after.
