Homesick

Hurt feelings,
Broken heart,
Friends and family,
Worlds apart.
Pains of need,
Tears of longing,
The hurtful distance,
Of hearts belonging.
Unable to eat,
Unable to talk,
Can’t even listen,
Can’t even walk.
Cruel words,
Hostile stares,
The uneasy feeling,
Of angry glares.
Empty of hope,
Full of sorrow,
Doubtful this pain,
Will be gone tomorrow.
